Rules

1. This is an inter-collegiate event and there shall be only 1 team per college.
2. The teams should carry an official letter from their respective institutes signed by competent authority, mentioning the names of the participants.
3. Language of the play can be English/Hindi.
4. No naked flames or live animals are allowed on stage.
5. Microphones, lights and a music system will be provided.
6. The minimum number of participants per team is 5. In addition, there should be 1 person in charge of music and a maximum of 4 for lights.
7. The teams are expected to bring their own music on a cassettes and a CD for the play.
8. All clothes and accessories are to be arranged for by the participating team. The organizing committee is responsible only for the infrastructural facilities.
9. Stage specifications: Stage area: 20 ft x 36 ft (approx).
10. A hard copy of the script has to be handed over to the organizing team at least 1 hour before the event.
11. Props can be used.
12. Requests for special effects and props should be communicated at least a week in advance. The same will be provided only if possible.
13. Total time allotted for the play to every team is 45 minutes( empty stage to empty stage) , however the performance time should not exceed 30 minutes.
14. Participants will be given a chance to practice at the venue at a predetermined time.
15. If a team exceeds 30 min, 15% of the total marks obtained will be deducted. If a team exceeds 40 min, it stands to be debarred from the event.
16. No recorded vocals are allowed, only instrumental music is allowed.
17. In case of malfunctioning of any equipment provided, the team will be allowed to repeat
their performance from the last scene change or from the point of disruption that the team wishes.
18. It depends on the judge’s discretion as to how much grace time will be given to the performing team.
19. The participating teams are requested to ensure that their presentation is in keeping with the dignity of the fest.
20. The decision of the judges and the organizing team will be final and binding.
